My name is Carolina Jacome Steffens and I am a BACP registered Counsellor and a qualified Integrative Sand-play Therapist. I have more than 20 years of experience in working with children, young people and adults in different settings (charity, public and private sectors).  

 

I love being a therapist and making a difference in the lives of the clients I see, no matter their age. During my years of practice, I have learned that sometimes talking therapies are not enough. Hence, I decided to specialise in sand-tray therapy. I also have incorporated through the years meditation and mindfulness techniques, as well as art resources in my therapy sessions to allow expression in multiple ways, that hopefully can be effective in your healing, balance recovery and emotional wellbeing.   

 

Whether you are a child, a young person or an adult, I will offer you the chance to talk but also to learn different ways to bring out and process your burdens, traumatic past experiences, difficult emotions, worries and difficulties. I could also teach you strategies and ways to self-regulate, breathe and calm yourself down. 

 

My aim is to make you feel contained, listened to, safe and supported from day one.  I also offer Bach Remedies suggestions (natural remedies), which can be an excellent complement to therapy.
